Actor Will Smith dropped a teaser for yet one more slave film. This one is titled Emancipation.
Smith performs an emancipated slave who was depicted in a historic photograph titled “The Scourged Again.”
Smith uploaded the film teaser to his Youtube channel on Monday. He wrote within the abstract:
“This was the toughest film I’ve ever made. Blood, Sweat & Tears… LITERALLY! Shoutout to @Apple who doubled (and tripled) down on their dedication to ship this epic story to the world.”
One YouTube viewer wrote:
“One other slave film actually will smith. We’re making an attempt to forgot what occurred to us again then.. and also you wana make a film of it Once more [sic].”
A second particular person wrote:
“There so many different experiences to inform of Africans in America moreover one other slave narrative.”
However others had been supportive of the disgraced actor’s efforts.
Will Smith hopes Emancipation will win him one other Oscar award. Although he’s banned from attending the Oscars for 10 years after he slapped comic Chris Rock in March.
